#CB99talks 143 WMMA Review for 2023

Happy New Year MMA fans, this episode we are going to take a look back at the year of WMMA for 2023. 2023 was a rough year for me, but the WMMA scene turned out to be pretty consistent and entertaining. There were good fights on all levels, huge KOs and finishes, and big upsets! Tonight I pick fights from across organizations that had the best KOs, submissions, muggings, and entertaining wars. So tune in and we’ll discuss who are the next fighters to look out for as well as my wishlist of fights I need to see for 2024. Make sure you subscribe and enjoy!

Alright WMMA fans, this week’s episode comes at a time when the fights are a little slow so I decided to bring up a topic that’s been on my mind. This topic revolves around the last few fights over the past few weekends. After watching several ladies perform to a high level of urgency, I come to the conclusion that there are some fighters that may not reach the top, but their performances will keep them in the UFC. Putting on a crowd pleasing performance is necessary for fighters that have a lack of skills to get near the top 10 or near the belt so letting it all go is their next best choice. Also we’ll discuss the state of the women’s UFC bantamweight division. Can the division get back to where it once was?
